Birds of a Feather.....

Hello Loves! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I know it was full of football and reality shows. I would talk about football but this is not a sports blog, and I really did not find a great life lesson to address so the reality shows are to the rescue. "Lala's full court wedding" premiered this past Sunday. The episode was okay, but for all you who really know me, know I enjoyed it because a certain guest was on the Show. That's right...the Multi-talented beautiful Tyrese grace our presence and drop some important knowledge at the same time. He asked LaLa why she did not hang out with any married women. He was explaining to her that she needed to expand her friend list to include married women. Know her single friend Ciara disagrees but I think Tyrese was just making the age old point that Birds of a feather flock together. People have always judge people not just by their actions, but the company they keep also. She wants to be a happy married couple, however she does not have any happy married couples in her circle. You need to know people that have been through what you are going through so they can give you advice on what works and what does not works. Sorry Ciara but you and Kim (and Trina) can not give this first hand experience advice. Tyrese was not saying get rid of your single friends, he was saying get some married ones. This does not just apply for just married and single people. This applies to all situations. If you are in a relationship do not get all your advice from your single friend, if you are in debt do not get all your advice from your broke friends, if you are in school do not get all your advice from your friends who have not been in a class room. Surround yourself with people that have been successful at the very thing you are trying to accomplish. We tend to surround ourselves with likeminded people, because we want them to agree with us but we all need that friend that's going to give us the Messy truth. I'm not saying that to dumb all your loyal friends that's been with you since the begging just because they are not where you want to be, but I am saying expand your network to include those who will help you and uplift you. If you want better, surround yourself will better people.....I'm just keeping it 100.
